It feels like a gazillion hours since my last post, yet there is still so much to do! I think I am operating on California time I have had so little sleep. #neverfeltmorealive
This time next week, I will be sipping on a well deserved beer watching The King of the Hill at Simola Knysna Hill Climb. Classic Friday will be a thing of the past. #butwillIbeatoneminute?
Inspired by my new favorite DSTV program (Drive. Build. Dream.) on 189, I rush outside to photo document the latest developments of my, now very thirsty, baby. At which point I notice how much more there is to do!!! Door handles, Mirrors, Front grill, Reservoirs (Brake / Clutch Master Reservoir), Anti Sway Bar (if I kick that thing on the garage floor one more time!!!), Indicators, Dash Wiring and the very worrying vibration at high speed!!! #roadtested
Thanks to the skills of the various outsourced engineers and my (now increasingly favorite) mechanic, my baby is purring like a race car!
Back to reality, I only have Sunday and Monday to complete the observed (for now) outstanding work, run the car in, buff the paint, change the oil & filters and eliminate vibration before I hook the trailer and tow to knysna. Oh sh!t, I dont have any stickers…. Nix Graphix
Anyway, I digress, with reference to Drive. Build. Dream., this project has educated me on so many levels, from childhood dream to reality (and reality bites). Admittedly engineers did the rocket science work as did an equally heavy weight mechanic strip and assemble the motor, but do not for one second discount how deep I have been outside my comfort zone, during this project!
If I can do this, you can do anything, push yourself, explore your boundaries, pursue your passions, live your dreams! #andalltheothercliches
