Broken pistons on the dyno days before the event. A situation that would have ended previous years. Instead, the system absorbed it. Rebuilt. Reassembled. Sent.
The difference was not the absence of problems.
It was the ability to deal with them.
The weekend played out differently. The car held. The runs were clean. The process worked.
Winning Class H3 was the outcome, but not the story.
The story was that preparation had reached a level where failure didn’t immediately end everything.
