Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival
The hill, the paddock, the noise. A garden party where everything runs on petrol.
The Festival of Speed in July sends everything from 1900s racers to current F1 cars up the hill past the house, and you can walk right through the paddock while they warm up. The Revival in September is at the old circuit, with everyone dressed as if it's 1960, cars included.
I went in 2018 and spent the whole day with a stupid grin and ringing ears. The paddock alone is worth the flight.
